One of the better "Beat'em up" games I've played. Crisp cartoon'y graphics with well-designed characters. The reward/upgrade/challenge ramp feels about right, with many different items to upgrade. The stages change quickly enough to stay fresh and the little bit of story doesn't drag on, but rather adds short humorous banter between stages for a few seconds.On the down-side, I'm missing two things I enjoy about this genre: Bosses: While some harder enemies are introduced every couple stages, and usually first show up as the last enemy of a stage, they don't feel very epic or boss'y. I've probably only progressed through half the story progression, but in that time, there were no comic-style intros or large health bars, arising out of the explosion that brought a huge boss onto the battlefield. None of that stuff, but maybe the games saves boss stuff for the end?Interactive Environments: Sure, there's the generic stuff: trash cans, barricades, mall kiosks, cars... but they're all a single frame images, outlined with a black line, as if to say "destroy me for a couple coins". If items could be damaged (3 - 6 frames) or used on the battlefield (i.e. projectiles to hit towards enemies), that would add a lot of fun to this game. There's just not a lot to do, other than "Beat 'em up", whereas games like Turtles in Time and the SNES Bevis and Butthead game (among dozens of other good examples, I'm sure) had plenty of fun things to play with while you were doing the beating up.Overall, a fun game which I'll probably put another couple hours into, to complete and three-star all the levels. (which makes me want to add "too easy?"). This key was obtained from the publisher for the purposes of review. Summary: If you're looking for a hardcore beat em up experience, you're going to need to look else where. But if you're looking for a casual beat em up, or want to be introduced to the genre, then Big Action Mega Fight will fill that need for you. The simple mechanics of gameplay are easy to pick up, and easy to play out with simple dodging and a special meter that may charge a little too fast, but allows for you to throw specials around willy nilly. The game gets repetitive quickly, as there's not a good amount of variety in the gameplay. But from a simple visual standpoint, the game works as great characters and animation bring life to battles. The sound design in particular is nice, which was unexpected from a PC port. The difficulty is too easy for my tastes as I prefer games like Phantom Breaker and Double Dragon Neon, but for those who want something a little more simple, a 5 dollar price tag seems to fit the game in question. Score chasing elements are fun, as ridiculous multipliers can be gotten if you play perfectly. Strong stylized character design highlights a strong cartoon aesthetic. Surprising good game audio for a mobile port. Isolating the sound by turning it off, it's clear you miss it with the missing sound effects of explosions and punches, and the music complements the action rather well. Performance is strong with rare exceptions. 60 FPS with no dips 99% of the time. Good references to old games here, obviously pays respect to old, and some new games as well. There's exploding chickens. Who doesn't love exploding chickens? Well, except the chickens them selves. But for them, I don't give a cluck. (I'll see my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ humor out the door)-: The game is easy, even for people who may not play a lot of the genre. If you're expecting a challenge, you won't get it here unless you do score chasing. Lack of variety on a lot of fronts. While the game attempts to ramp up difficulty with more, you'll be fighting the same enemies over and over again. Some of that is the genre, but I feel this is on the wrong side of the tracks on this one. Lack of enemy variety. When I mean basic gameplay here in the beat em up genre, I mean basic gameplay. The game can be beat in about 2 hours. 35 stages which are really short in several cases (under a minute). Lack of options from a Mobile port. Basic sound sliders and resolution I would expect as minimums for the PC platform.. Old school Beat 'em up. You can improve your attribs, buffs and special attacks.If you get stuck in any level because of the difficulty, just replay any level 'till you get enough coins for your next upgrade.But the game is pretty easy to play. Tooltips will help you through the first levels.Neat game with nice animations and arcade game voice-acting. + cards and achievements+ runs under Win 10- mouse controls not recommended8\/ 10Try to get it on a sale!. When I first saw BAMF!, I thought "Oh cool, another beat-'em-up!" And then I played it, and...it started off as a mobile game (which I have nothing against), and porting it to PC & MAC, to me, was a big mistake. It gets way too repetitive, the voices are annoying as hell, and in my opinion, mobile games should stay on mobile (unless they're really good). I just can't see me playing this game, any further. Sorry, Double Stallion Games, but I have to give this game a thumbs down for repetitive gameplay, annoying voices, and just an overall rather bad game (to me). very playable, not too hard, not too easy, 38 levels, 11 timed levels, so it can be challenging, but 4-5 hours enough to beat the game. So its ood game for that money!
